In recent years, studying abroad has been popular. Tens of thousands of Chinese teenagers have gone to foreign countries for further study. As is shown on the chart, the number of the teenagers studying abroad is increasing steadily. At the end of 2002, about 40% of the students studying abroad were middle school students.
